CUED is undergoing a major review of Part I of the Engineering Tripos. The Department has issued a survey to gather as much feedback as possible from Engineering graduates about their personal experience of the course and professional experience in the workplace. CUEA members were invited to visit various engineering divisions at the West Cambridge Site as part of the Alumni Weekend. Visits included the Schofield centre, Institute for Manufacturing, Civil Engineering, Whittle Laboratory and Electrical Engineering.

The 2019 CUEA AGM took place at the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge. The meeting culminated a very successful year for CUEA, where its involvement with Engineering Alumni and Students has significantly increased.

Cambridge University Eco Racing, one of the largest student teams at the Engineering Department would like to invite alumni of CUED to the launch of their vehicle, Helia, at the London Science Museum. They have been building a four seat road legal solar powered electric vehicle which will be the UK's Most Efficient Electric Car.

The programme of events hosted by CUEA at the Engineering Department on 21st September was attended by over 80 alumni, staff and students. Guests were treated to tours of the Department by enthusiastic students, lectures from esteemed members of staff, and annual reports on the re-launched CUEA.
