Has sustainability become a buzzword or is it something we can realistically put into action? CUEA gathered three forward-thinking leaders to address what “Sustainability” means in the context of development and climate change action. Dr Hugh Hunt, Dr Bryan Hanley and Alasdair Young covered topics of the inside story from COP24, food innovation for our future, and sustainable energy solutions, in an evening of talks on 22nd January 2019.
The event took place simultaneously in Southwark, London and Trinity College, Cambridge, as a mixture of live-streamed and in-person talks. The event started at 6pm, with a drinks reception before the talks began at 6:30pm.
The event opened to CUEA Members and their guests. These events were well received, with 80 attendees for the London talk, which was oversubscribed by 20 people, and 40 attendees for the Cambridge talk for a total of 120 attendees. Feedback was very positive, with significant interest in more such events in both London and Cambridge.
A full report of the event will be issued in due course.
